King Soopers - Bad Service from Pharmacy
The pharmacy on 62nd avenue in Commerce City totaling screwed up my husband's prescription for eye drops for a serious eye condition. They substituted generic for the brand name drug even though the surgeon wrote "do not substitute, use brand name".
Of course, this happened on Saturday when the doctor's office is closed; Medicare is not open and he is without his eye drops. Their excuse; wait until Monday and call your doctor. Or to the emergency room and pay $1500.00 or more!
I am tired of associates who are not trained in the medical field randomly changing a prescription to something else. So where does one go to get good service?

If the doctor wrote "Do not substitute" or "DNS" on the script, then they cannot substitute. Your insurance company might not pay for it, tho you can pay for it yourself.
Ask the pharmacy to see the actual script---they have it on their computer---and see what it says. And, of course find another pharmacy.
